Welcome to DRIPWOOD COFFEE HOUSE, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Baybay City, Leyte, where the aroma of expertly brewed coffee fills the air and the ambiance is effortlessly stylish yet cozy. Tucked away at MQGW+MVR, this café is not just a place to grab a cup of joe; it's an experience that invites you to stay awhile.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, DRIPWOOD offers a delightful array of options for breakfast, snacks, and main dishes. Imagine starting your day with a perfectly crafted oat milk flat white, a favorite among customers like Emerald Uy, who praises its rich, creamy taste, even commenting on the café's accommodating menu for non-dairy choices. Pair that with their recommended breakfast specials, and you’re in for a treat that tantalizes your taste buds and energizes your spirit.

The café's stylish interior transports you to a cozy corner of home, one that you never want to leave, reminiscent of Rodemae Marmita's sentiments. With a design that makes you feel welcome and relaxed, it's the perfect backdrop for catching up with friends or savoring a peaceful moment alone. Reviewers have commented on the thoughtful details that create a nice vibe without overwhelming noise, allowing you to immerse yourself in the rich flavors of their menu or engage in a lively conversation.

For those looking to enjoy a satisfying lunch or a light snack, DRIPWOOD’s offerings won't disappoint. From hearty salads to fulfilling main dishes, like their delectable pesto pasta that one traveler found simply amazing, there’s something for everyone. The warm and friendly staff adds a personal touch to your dining experience, ensuring your every need is taken care of, as noted by the engaging service experienced by Y K and Paolo Comaling.

However, it’s noteworthy that while many visitors revel in the inviting atmosphere, some guests have experienced inconsistent service. Like Rodemae pointed out, a less than stellar interaction may occur, but don’t let that overshadow the quality of the food and coffee—after all, it’s this combination that brings patrons back, again and again.

Positioned perfectly with views overlooking the serene bay, DRIPWOOD COFFEE HOUSE is not just about the sustenance; it encapsulates the laid-back yet progressive spirit of Baybay City. As Franz Barreto mentions, it’s an ideal spot whether you’re unwinding with friends or tackling some work amidst a soothing sea breeze.

Come and discover what makes DRIPWOOD COFFEE HOUSE an essential stop on your culinary journey through Leyte. With great food, a beautiful view, and a charming atmosphere, it’s a location that promises to fill your belly and warm your heart.

My mom wanted coffee and I wanted lunch after 2pm so we decided to go to DRIPWOOD COFFEE HOUSE since they serve coffee, breakfast, snacks and main dishes. The place was nice and stylish, music not too loud, temperature was perfect. We've been seated and warmly welcomed with a bottle of cold water. The staff was friendly and thoughtful, always approachable. Since I was very hungry I picked the Baby Back Ribs with Fries on the side and my mom decided to go into pancakes. I did not try those pancakes because I was afraid my mom would ask to try my ribs... They were perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, well marinated and the BBQ Sauce was great balanced between sweet, sour and savory. Chapeau - I've been to restaurants in the US where I couldn't find ribs THIS good. The fries were hot, crispy on the outside, mashy on the inside with (my favorite) just a pinch of salt. Perfect! It was a five star experience and we definitely will come again. P.S. Thank you for the takeout bag for my dog.

This coffee house is so elegant. I went here with my classmates and foods were absolutely great. Crews are approachable and everything seemed in order. This one's not for everyone though, but for those who would just like to experience, of course this is highly commendable.

If you just want to hang out with your friends or need a place to work with your digital chores, Dripwood is a place you should check on in baybay city, Leyte. Located at the heart of the city overlooking the sea, you will trully enjoy my personal definition of baybay, a laidback yet progressing city. Then comes their offering, if you want something to fill you up, you are in a good spot, but, if you want something comforting, this might disappoint you. Best example is their cheeseburger, right amount of size but underwhelming flavor. Buns, though loaded with sesame, were not toasty thus became soggy when slathered with their burger sauce, which was average. Then, comes the patty, thick, grilled yet flavorless, all I can taste is the burn, no salt, no fat. The beef stroganoff however managed to save the day, flavorful, good serving size, one that you will remember. Lastly the sides, both the fries and the chips were crisp as they were suppose to be, though again lacking in salt. Coffee however is a different story. Thats their identity. Solid, and well thought off. You know that this is a coffee place over a resto. I get it why my wife recommended this to me to have my daily caffeine, because they know coffee well. Cash only

We had some really good breakfast here at Dripwood. Glad that they also offer non dairy milk and had my oatmilk flat white fix, and yes it was good. Location is great too, with a view of the bay. Overall, would definitely come back if ever I’m in Leyte again.

Great food and coffee. I like the interior so much, feels like old home that makes you want to stay. But the crews were kinda rude. We were travelers and we were not dressed in a coffee-shop-hopping ootds, so may be that’s the reason why they were acting like that. Good thing the coffee was and their pesto pasta was amazing.

Dripwood Coffee House Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.3/5) I’ve visited this place twice with friends, and both times have been a great experience—whether you’re there to eat, relax, or enjoy the ambiance. Service The staff are very accommodating and friendly. We felt welcomed and well taken care of during both visits. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Menu & Pricing Since it’s categorized as a coffee house, the food selection is understandably limited. However, the setting and ambiance give off more of a casual resto-bar vibe, so it pleasantly surprises you with its range and style. Portion sizes are generous, and pricing feels fair for what’s served. Ambiance The place is aesthetic and relaxing—great for catching up with friends or spending time with family. It’s bright, welcoming, and photo-friendly. They also have a live band playing once or twice a week, which adds a fun and chill atmosphere without being too loud or distracting. Food & Drinks We ordered Filipino Breakfast 1 and 2, which were classic fried Filipino breakfasts served with rice and sides. Both meals were good for one person and quite filling. They were a bit oily (as expected from fried dishes), but overall, they hit the spot. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) The Korean Chicken Wings with Ranch Dip came with a generous portion for two people. The wings were coated in a sweet, spicy, and tangy sauce—not crunchy, but very flavorful. The presentation was nice, and I really liked this dish. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- (4.7/5) We also tried the Chicken Fingers with Trio Dip, which came with fries. The chicken strips were big and the fries made it even more shareable—ideal for 2 to 3 people. Neither the chicken nor the fries were the crispy kind, but the seasoning was mild and worked well for a starter without being overwhelming. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5) The 3-Meat Platter included Chicken Inasal, Grilled Pork, and Lechon Kawali. It’s a hefty serving, good for 3 to 4 people, and came with a side of pickled vegetables to help refresh the palate between bites. The Lechon Kawali was the star of the plate—crispy and flavorful, with the most generous portion. The grilled pork had a slight odd taste I couldn’t place, and the chicken inasal was a bit dry for my liking. Still, everything went well with rice and had decent flavor overall. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3.6/5) The standout dish for me was the Seafood Pasta. Despite having a mild shrimp allergy, I couldn’t resist trying it—and I’m glad I did. The pasta had a slight kick, no fishy aftertaste, and was really well-balanced. The bread it came with was soft, almost like chiffon, which was unique and enjoyable. This was easily my favorite and could be shared if ordered as a side. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) We also ordered some plain rice and canned soft drinks on the side. Sadly, we didn’t try their coffee—even though it’s a coffee house—since none of us are big coffee drinkers. Final Thoughts Dripwood Coffee House is a great place to relax, enjoy good food, and hang out with friends or family. While the food selection is limited, the portions, flavors, and vibe make up for it. Even if you’re not into coffee, this place offers more than expected. I really enjoyed both my visits here and would happily return.

The food and service here is the best I've experienced in the Philippines in 12 years. It's seriously good!!! We considered travelling a 2 hour round trip again today for the food.
